The mornings and evenings are especially dramatic with the low light of the rising or setting sun and he likes these situations as well as any outdoor scene that speaks to him, whether it be a wild creature in is natural habitat, a rustic old weathered fence or barn, the carolina blue sky against the atlantic ocean with reflections of seagulls in the wet sand as the waves slide back into the atlantic, or the blue haze in the distant cascading mountains, or a blue jay attempting to steal a berry from a freshly picked basket of strawberries. His style ranges from tight to loose and his media choice ranges from acrylic to oil to watercolor - in that order of preference. His acrylics and watercolors tend to be more realistic and his oils much more loose. He has owned a successful graphic/sign manufacturing company in southeast North Carolina for the past 26 years. His works are displayed up and down the east coast and all across the south. He is always working on something new or looking for a certain subject and often stumbles upon great ideas while trying to complete a piece. There are plenty of great things to come.
